Chennai represents a perfect south Indian culture. When you say Chennai, its distinct lifestyle strikes our head. People here are known for their hospitality. Weather In chennai:

Geographically, Chennai is situated in Coramandal coast. Since, it is located near the equator, the city remains hotter in comparison to other cities of India. The Bay of Bengal brings in lot of humidity to the city. As the typical climatic condition of India, Chennai too has the three main seasons, namely, summer, winter and monsoon. If it is summer, the temperature raises to as high as 450 c. The city remains too hot during the day, but in the nights, the cool sea breeze brings in comfort for the residents. The much awaited season of the Chennai is winter. January is the coolest month of the city. The temperature drops often to 150c to 200c. However, winter lasts for a short duration here.

Winter Dressing:

Being a madrasie, any temperature below 200c is chilling. It’s the time to get into woolen wear. However, one doesn’t need to pull over some heavy and bulky wear. Winter wear in Chennai isn’t really complex.  A simple jacket can do the work for you. The city can fetch you lot of comfort in the winter time. So, how could you just stick indoors…? A beanie cap is quite common here. The winters here also brings in some shows. Don’t forget to carry an umbrella with you in case you are moving out. Make sure, you are moving out with an umbrella. It is preferable if your jacket is waterproof and resistant to wind. A scarf is the fast growing trend in south India and is so here. Going into a pair of waterproof shoes is always advisable. Prefer the fabrics which have good breathability so as to absorb the moisture instantly. Wool fabrics can do the work for you. Putting on bulkier garments is not advisable, get into a thinner wool garments. Sticking to simpler outfits always works here.
